Elevation Signature marine-grade polymer

Poly outdoor cabinets
for Colorado sun & snow.

Choosing a cabinet material is about more than a finish swatch. Explore how dense HDPE handles outdoor moisture, where that helps during freeze–thaw cycles, and what still needs thoughtful installation.

Why marine-grade poly for Colorado?

Strong sun.
Snowmelt.
A smarter cabinet material.

Colorado’s outdoor kitchens live through dry summer heat, sudden storms, snow, and repeated temperature changes. Elevation Signature’s dense marine-grade polymer gives us a compelling foundation for a kitchen designed to stay outdoors.

Compared with moisture-sensitive wood-based cabinet boxes, nonabsorbing HDPE avoids the water-swelling and rot cycle. Its cabinet body also cannot rust like exposed steel. Hardware, appliances, countertops, and installation details still need the right specification and care.

UV resistance for Colorado sun

Elevation Signature’s outdoor-grade MGP is designed to resist UV-related fading under sunlight. You get color and finish choices without a recurring wood staining routine. Review the selected finish and care guidance; prolonged exposure and dark-surface heat still matter.

Moisture stays out of the material

MGP does not absorb water. Snowmelt and rain do not soak into the cabinet sheet as they can with wood-based materials. Drainage and a sound patio or deck keep the whole installation working properly.

A practical freeze–thaw advantage

Nonabsorbing cabinet material avoids damage driven by water saturating the cabinet sheet and then freezing. This is a material advantage, not a freeze-proof guarantee for sinks, pipes, countertops, or appliances.

Low maintenance, lasting character

Routine cleaning replaces the repainting and restaining expected of exposed wood cabinetry. Allow for thermal movement, protect the material from excessive heat, and keep hardware and appliances maintained.

UV protection without overpromising

Built for the outdoors.
Selected for your exposure.

Outdoor-grade polymer makes a strong case for a sunny Colorado kitchen. It does not make every color, appliance, and countertop behave identically. Dark surfaces can become hot in direct sun. Review the exact finish and manufacturer warranty, and combine good materials with shade and routine care where practical.

We select the kitchen as a system: cabinet body, finish, hardware, countertop, grill, refrigeration, and utility design. Each component has its own care and warranty terms.

Simple seasonal care

A few habits protect the whole kitchen.

Spring & summer

Clean with products approved for the cabinet finish. Check door operation, fasteners, drainage, and appliance ventilation. Use trivets and follow cooking-appliance clearances.

Before freezing weather

Arrange proper winterization of water lines, faucets, sinks, and applicable appliances. Keep water from accumulating around the base and follow the exact countertop’s exterior care requirements.

After a storm

Remove snow buildup gently, clear access and drainage, and check covers and loose accessories. Review site-specific wind restraint and anchoring; cabinetry has no advertised wind-speed guarantee here.

Outdoor cabinet questions

Plan with confidence.

Is marine-grade poly the same as Elevation Modular cabinetry?

No. Elevation Signature cabinet bodies use marine-grade polymer, an HDPE sheet material. Elevation Modular uses coated steel construction. Compare the exact models and care requirements rather than treating the two lines as the same material.

Is an MGP kitchen completely waterproof?

The cabinet sheet does not absorb water, but an assembled kitchen includes joints, openings, hardware, appliances, and utilities. It is not a sealed waterproof enclosure. Protect stored items and maintain drainage and winterization.

Does freeze–thaw resistance mean no winter maintenance?

No. The material advantage applies to nonabsorbing cabinet sheet. Plumbing, countertops, supports, and appliances still require the correct exterior specification, installation, and seasonal care.
